Great fun to play

Ive been travelling round Wales for a week playing different courses. Played over 100 new ones throughout the UK in each of the last 3 years. Llandrindod was my 79th on Saturday. Was great fun to play ..brilliant course with for me the stand out holes being.3..5..14..15..16 and 18. Course in great condition and the greens were excellent and had to try out different quirky putts. The welcome from Phil in the pro shop was second to none and such a friendly place to play including the other staff and other golfers there too. Thank you.

A great test of golf

The most diverse set set of holes you will play on any inland course in the UK. It's a great test of golf for the true shot maker! It has one of the greatest Par 3's in Wales- the stiff 236 yard 10th - what a hole. The signature hole is the par 4 18th (named death or glory) - it's made and ruined good score cards over the years! The Club has stunning views across rolling hills of Mid- Wales with a full 360 degree panoramic view. The stuards - Beth & Simon have built up a great reputation in the area providing a warm and friendly atmosphere and a wonderful diverse menu - their Sunday lunch menus are a gastronomic feast which can't be missed! All in all this is a wonderful venue to play golf and socialise at the 19th hole after rewarding day on the links!

An exhilarating course

An exhilarating course that will enthral you. It is played over an undulating tract at over 1000 feet. There are ridges, humps and hollows, ups and downs like you've never experienced before. There are a variety of challenges from blind shots, long holes, tricky par 3's, a couple of stiff par 4's and a sting in the tail that is aptly named "Death or Glory".The golf is so good, and the views are incredible - eat your heart out Pebble Beach!

Stunning 360 degree panoramic views

I have just played the Llandrindod Wells Open Week for the 3rd year. Some of the best holes I have played on ANY golf course. Stunning 360 degree panoramic views. Absolute brilliant and memorable finishing hole called "Death or Glory". Modern buggies available to hire if you don't fancy the walk. Very helpful pro and friendly local members. Club house serves good quality food at a very decent price served with a smile. Could not say a bad word about the place. Yes the course can be tough, but in my view one of the most enjoyable golf courses I have played for the views and some spectacular holes.

Superbly presented

A testing course in the wind and rain, but superbly presented. The 19th hole serves a variety of good food and beer. The Pro shop is well stocked and run by the ever helpful Phil. As a society we play this course every year having only missed playing there twice in 36 years.

Would highly recommend

I have been visiting this club for nearly 30 years and therefore have many great memories. Played it yesterday and thought the course was in pretty good condition overall, especially when you consider the number of staff who are maintaining the course at present. Very few people out so flew round in under three hours. Phil in the pro shop was as always very helpful, and it's always nice when you turn up and they remember your name! Thanks for a great day, would highly recommend this as a great golfing experience if you've never played here before.

I'm sure you would love it there

High on a hill overlooking Llandrindod Wells is a golf club restaurant that has the most fantastic views, I'm told you can see several counties spread out for miles around. Whilst you are sat looking out of the large windows you can order high quality food presented well from a comprehensive menu. The staff are welcoming and friendly and always available to help, the prices are very realistic especially for a restaurant of this class. I'm sure you would love it there, why not try it and see.

Really enjoyed

Really enjoyed my round at Llandrindod Wells GC. Even though the weather was patchy the course really played well. Rough can be tough and the greens were not as fast downhill as they looked. I thought I had the course mastered after 8 holes but it had its revenge on the tougher back 9. Besides the golf the staff were attentive and friendly and the food very good, well presented and good value. In the words of MacArthur I will return.

Tremendous

Our 7 members from Clevedon and Mendip Springs played Llandridnod on the 3rd day of our Mid Wales tour. From the moment we arrived we were made welcome, with the pro even volunteering to take our group picture The view from the 1st is fabulous and the 17 holes that follow are tremendous Challenging, dramatic do the members realise how fortunate they are...l expect so
